Experience the miracle of life right before your eyes in the Birthing Center, featuring newborns from various species of livestock. Stop by to visit the baby animals, watch as they take their first steps, see how their mothers nurture them and witness how they react to the world.

Breed Row Barn showcases different breeds of swine, cattle, sheep and goats, with the opportunity to get a close-up view of all the animals.

Texans should be proud to know that their state leads the nation in cotton production. Cotton is an essential product used in most clothing and many other household and industrial products. Visit this educational exhibit to learn how cotton goes from the fields to closets.

The Dairy Discovery Zone is an interactive learning experience, all about life on the farm and dairy products. Take a virtual farm tour and find out how cows are milked.

The Texas Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition division invites children into "E-town," an interactive world where children learn about the three E's of healthy living – education, exercise and eating right.

See these busy bees work to make honey in their hives, which are encased in protective plastic. These insects' production of honey provides an essential ingredient in many foods. They pollinate one-third of the crops used for food as well.

Take a journey underground and learn about the importance of soil composition, insects and worms, water, and vegetation in urban and rural agriculture. Get hands-on with live earthworms and learn how to construct your own composting bin. Plant a seed, take it home and watch it grow.

Here, see demonstrations of how a cow is milked and the process used to get milk to the grocery store. Next door to the Milking Parlor, visit Elsie the cow and her calf, Beauregard.

The petting zoo includes a wide variety of animals — from the exotic to those found on a typical farm. Grab a handful of tasty treats and see which animals are hungry.

Fun facts: crayons come from pigs and marshmallows come from sheep and goats. Learn about the commodities that make up Texas' agriculture industry and how to use them every day at Texas Farm Bureau's Planet Agriculture.

Pony rides are available for each little cowboy and cowgirl. Beautiful Welsh ponies walk carousel-style with their young riders. Each ride is $7 per ride, per child, and photos are available for additional costs.

The poultry exhibit includes everything from adult turkeys and chickens to chicks and incubating eggs, hatching at eye (and stroller) level.

Social animals that they are, rabbits love attention and affection. The rabbit exhibit features several different breeds, and provides visitors the chance to interact with these furry animals. Cavies, which are similar to guinea pigs, also are highlighted in this exhibit.

Stop by for a lesson in spinning cotton and other products into clothes, blankets and much more. It's fiber at its finest.
