How to Participate

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo World's Championship Bar-B-Que Contest!

New teams wishing to participate in the Contest and current teams that wish to obtain additional space must complete the WCBBQ Space Application. Applications are accepted from May 1 through Sept. 30 of each year for the following year's contest. Teams who have applied in previous years are required to submit a new application on an annual basis. All applications are reviewed and evaluated on their own merit, not on a first-come, first-served basis. Team may be offered new or additional space at the sole discretion of the Show.

Teams that have successfully participated in prior years generally receive an invitation to return to the Contest, so new space is very limited. The Show does not disclose information about the number of teams that have applied for space.

Please review the contest rules before submitting a team space application. The rules contain important information about team responsibilities, entry fees, rules and regulations.

The space application for the 2013 World's Championship Bar-B-Que Contest is due Aug. 31, 2012.
