Residue Avoidance Program

In cooperation with the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and with the approval of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Show developed a residue avoidance program for all junior market animals. The Show extensively tests selected animals, and any animal testing positive will be disqualified. The Show continually aims to assure consumers that their animal purchases from the market auctions are safe, wholesome products, free from any substance residue.

Hand Washing

Hand sanitizing stations are located at the entrance of each exhibit hall in Reliant Center, and near the pony rides, petting zoos, birthing center and various locations throughout Capital One AGventure. Outdoors, the stations can be found in each food tent, and by the petting zoo and pig races. Housed in little red barns, these waterless hand sanitizers are easy to see and use for visitors of all ages. Guests are encouraged to use the hand sanitizers and the sinks in the restrooms to clean their hands frequently.
