The Show celebrates Houston’s rich Hispanic heritage with day-long Go Tejano festivities. The Rodeo performance features premier entertainment, plus a mariachi competition, and other activities are highlighted throughout the complex. Fiesta Charra is a colorful event with an exciting exhibition of traditional Mexican folk dance, music and riding exhibitions.

Mariachi groups were invited to perform at the 17th Annual Mariachi Invitational on Saturday, March 15 at the Verizon Wireless Theater, and Sunday, March 16 in The Hideout at Reliant Park.

 

Aztlan and Damas De Jalisco were the two finalists chosen to perform in Reliant Stadium. A Go Tejano Day record 71,165 people declared, through audience participation, Aztlan as the winner.
