ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run

Each year, the ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run helps kick off the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with a pavement pounding 10K race and 5K fun run/walk. Entry fees are donated to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Fund.
In 2011 at the 24th annual ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run, Nearly 13,000 athletes participated. With its $360,000 donation in 2011, ConocoPhillips has contributed more than $2.9 million to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's Educational Fund since the race began in 1988.

The top race finishers in the 10K race included:
- Overall Male – Steven Tanui, Houston, 32:13
- Overall Female – Angela Spadafino, Houston, 36:19
- Masters Male – Sean Wade, Houston, 32:57
- Masters Female – Jody Berry, Houston, 43:28
- Wheelchair Male – Brent Lakatos, Dallas, 25:18
- Wheelchair Female – Kristi Braun, Houston, 1:12:31
The top race finishers in the 5K race included:
- Male – Jason Speed, Pearland
- Female – London Deloach, Cypress
Costume contest winners were:
- Best Dressed – Paul McSweeney, Houston
- Most Spirited – Elise Nellsch, Livingston
