International Wine Competition | Roundup and Best Bites Competition | Champion Wine Auction | Champion Wine Garden

Each year, The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Wine Show attracts wines from across Texas, the United States and all over the world. More than 500 wineries enter the Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition, in which each wine is tasted and judged by a panel of wine connoisseurs.

The Champion wines are presented for tasting at the Rodeo Uncorked! Roundup and Best Bites Competition held in February. More than 4,000 guests gather at Reliant Center to sample the award-winning wines coupled with signature bites from participating Houston-area restaurants and catering institutions. In addition to the fantastic wine and food, this event also features live entertainment and the peoples’ choice Best Bites Competition, where guests have the opportunity to vote on their favorite bite for the evening. This thrilling and interactive event enlightens the taste buds of Houstonians each year!

If you miss the Roundup & Best Bites Competition, you still have an opportunity to taste the Champion wines at the Rodeo Uncorked! Champion Wine Garden, located just south of Reliant Center in Carruth Plaza. Sit back and relax in the heated tents or afternoon sunshine in our outdoor wine lounge and take in the scenery. Wrapping up the Wine Show season is the Rodeo Uncorked! Champion Wine Auction and Dinner in March. The champion wines are paired with a special seated dinner before the exciting evening of bidding for the award-winning wines from the competition begins. The Champion wine lots are unique, with large format etched bottles specially designed and bottled for the Champion Wine Auction. In addition to the dinner and live auction, guests enjoy bidding on an array of packages in a silent auction.
