The Cinch RODEOHOUSTON Super Shootout: North America's Champions, presented by Crown Royal, is a ground-breaking event for the rodeo industry. This televised, one-day rodeo invites only the champion athletes from 10 of the best rodeos in the United States and Canada, competing in bareback riding, barrel racing, bull riding, and saddle bronc riding. With a total purse of $200,000, the Super Shootout is the richest one-day rodeo event in the world.

The winning contestant in each of the four Super Shootout events — bareback riding, barrel racing, bull riding, and saddle bronc riding — from the following top 10 U.S. and Canadian rodeos, are invited to the 2012 Super Shootout:

Calgary Stampede — Calgary, Alberta
Cheyenne Frontier Days — Cheyenne, Wyo.
Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair — Surrey, British Columbia
Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo — Fort Worth, Texas
National Western Stock Show — Denver
Reno Rodeo — Reno, Nev.
Rodeo Austin — Austin, Texas
RODEOHOUSTON — Houston
San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo — San Angelo, Texas
San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo — San Antonio

If the current published World Champions in each event are not champions from the above rodeos, they also are invited to compete.
