Legends, and legends in the making — Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Selena, Garth Brooks, Alicia Keys, Roy Rogers, Bill Cosby, Ray Charles, Jimmy Buffett, Dolly Parton, Beyoncé, Kenny Chesney, Luther Vandross, George Strait, ZZ Top, Miley Cyrus, and so many more — RODEOHOUSTON™ entertainers comprise a list of who’s who in the industry.

International guests from 84 countries registered in the Show’s international room. Guests came from countries such as Australia, Bahrain, China, England, France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Paraguay, Qatar, Scotland, Tunisia and Venezuela.

One of the nation’s top scholarship programs.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s educational commitment is $15.8 million annually. Since the Show’s beginning in 1932, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has contributed more than $230 million to scholarships, research, endowments, calf scramble               participants, junior show exhibitors, the Rodeo Institute for Teacher Excellence™, School Art participants, and other educational and youth programs.

The Show is a Section 501(c)(3) charity that benefits youth, supports education, and facilitates better agricultural practices through exhibitions and presentation.

The junior livestock show ranks as one of the largest in the nation with more than 12,000 young 4-H and FFA exhibitors each year.

The Show holds the world’s record in every category of junior show auctions. The 2002 grand champion steer sold for $600,001.

World’s largest School Art Program with more than 300,000 students participating each year.

Other institutions that have benefited from grants and direct support of the Show include: 21 Texas colleges and universities, Houston Symphony Discovery Outreach Concert Series, Houston Area Research Center, Neuhaus Education Center, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, Alley Theatre Outreach Program and the Houston Community College Community Garden Program.
