As always, our volunteers and staff are working hard to provide you with the best possible show experience here in Houston. • New for 2009: Heifers will be stalled upon arrival. To stall together at Houston, groups must arrive together at the staging area.
  • Steers and barrows will again be stalled upon arrival. Junior market lambs and goats will be pre-penned at the discretion of show management based on number of entries and pen availability.
  • Pre-penning requests, and further information for all Junior Show stalling procedures can be found in the Exhibitor's Handbook at www.rodeohouston.com.

Kiosk Self Check-in for Junior Market Lambs, Goats and Barrows

New for 2009, kiosks will be used to check-in all market lamb, goat and barrow entries.  The kiosk stations will be placed in the East Arena of Reliant Center.

Two methods of check-in will be offered:

  • Club or Chapter Check-In, using the access code (same code used for on-line entry)
  • Individual Check-in, using an exhibitor entry number

Once logged on to the kiosk, the individual checking in will use the touch screen to enter the following information for each entry being checked in:

  • The last 5 digits of the animal’s state validation tag number
  • The animal’s declared weight
  • The animal’s declared breed

Once all information has been entered, the kiosk will generate a receipt for your confirmation.  Any discrepancies with class postings will be resolved using the information on the receipt.  You will also be required to deposit the completed weight and breed declaration card for each entry.  In the event of a widespread technical failure as determined by show management, the information on the weight and breed declaration cards will be used to break classes.

For more details on self check-in, please reference the Lamb, Goat and Barrow sections of the 2009 Exhibitors Handbook.
